Which is the brug with the lemon scent?

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Some of my cuttings got the wrong labels on them...I think this one that I had marked as Pink Floyd...is really Sunkissed....it seems to me to have a lemony scent. Does Sunkissed have a lemony scent?

another...I thought I had a new, wonder petal pattern...until I realized it was slugs that ate the petals...

lol picture lady...those slugs are something else.
I dont know which one it is, but I'm sure someone will come along with the right anser. I sure would like to know too.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

pebble...the petals were almost even with each other....so I was so sure it was a new pattern!! I even kinda liked it!

That's a really nice flower, nice even yellow color. Hurry up, Spring!!

Hope that Gretchen Kaufmann comes along and posts here soon. She can tell you all about "Pink Floyd".

This is my SunKissed .

One of my favs.

Can't help you on the lemon fragrance tho, I've never had one that had it.

Margie, I'd love one with a lemon scent, grapefruit would be great too, my fav 'new' scent...it is surely pretty & looks big and bouncy, a fun shape.......hey, hold the phone, WOW, Scoot, your SunKissed is a thread stopper, they look huge, so beautiful and healthy, I'll be that bee thinks he's won the lottery - wonder what it would do in southeast Arky, does it wilt and is it a bug magnet??? If I'm nutz for it, you can almost depend on it being one that won't like it here...

Here's another shot.

Scooterbug,

Wow that brug is incredibly beautiful! Would you by chance have any cuttings from it you would want to trade?

Margie -- here's a photo of Pink Floyd: Its very distinctive because most of its blooms, calyxes and leaves have something funky going on -- they're asymetrical! Not one of the prettier brugs, but it has personality and I like it. I can't remember anything distinctive about the scent.....

Another shot -- you get the real idea from this one:

Great Gretchen....thank you, I know one of my cutting is PFloyd...now I will beable to ID it ! They all had labels but the sun and weather faded them.
The one pictured I guess is a Sunkissed...do you think?
It is good to see you again.
I am thinking maybe the fragrance is not lemon, but certainly different !

Joe,

Sorry but you'll need to get back to me later this year.

This is the wrong time for cuttings where I am.

Shirley

Yes, Shirley, I just thought you had some going from last fall when you brought in your brugs. Thanks for responding, I will remember and get back with you later in the summer. Take care.

I only have cuttings for my own stock right now.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Margie -- thanks! I've been spread awfully thin lately, and then ended up with a monster cold + oak allergies, so I was pretty well down for the count for a while!

The best way to ID this brug (PF) will be from the leaves. They are smooth (non-serrated) and upwardly cupped in a very distinctive fashion. Also tougher (thicker) leaves than many of the other varieties. I hope this helps :)

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

See....I told you that Gretchen could i.d. "Pink Floyd".....down to a "Y", thought I'd say "T", didn't you???!!! :~)

Hope you feel better soon. Colds combined with allergies, are "the pits"!

Gretchen, hope you feel better soon.

That yellow is so bright, I really love all of the pictures of it, the blooms look so happy.
Pink Floyd looks like she's dancing with her best dress on, there is a motion and a flow to her skirt.
I just can't get enough of these pics, thanks!

Thank you so much, Shirley -- that's a lovely picture!

And thank you Ada! I appreciate your wishes!

And Jackie -- thank you! PF is a very interesting brug, to say the least :)

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Gretchen...I am sorry to hear that you were sick. I know you had been busy and thought that is what kept you away from DG! I hope you are feeling better now. Colds and allergies...not a good combination, especially when you want to be busy! Sounds like rest and fluids time...don't go back to your busy schedule too quickly...give yourself time to heal completely!

Thank you for the info. on PFloyd...it will help me alot!

With all the work at this time of the year, I expect people to be on and off the list, and I'm happy to see you back, Gretchen - don't rush it, a relapse if often worse than the first time round. I love Sun Kissed and Pink Floyd, and I might be knocking at your doors when cutting time comes around!!!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Thank you Margie and Sherry! I'm back to 100% now!!! I'll definintely be on and off in the next month, as we will be going to visit Madeline Rose in Miami, early next month. She was born on February 2, and we haven't seen her yet, in person!

Congratulations to the happy family!!!

Thanks, Margie -- that was taken a few weeks ago. I'm sure she's changed some since then.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

She's just adorable...and a lovely name too!! Looks like her mother loves flowers too!!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

She's a sweetie! I know that your just dying to hold that little precious bundle of joy in your arms!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Gretchen, she's a little baby doll. You'll find it's hard to leave her after you get to see and hold her.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Oh my gosh, she has the biggest eyes. I'd be going crazy waiting to get there. What a cutie. I'm jealous. No more little ones around here until my grands start having families and I'm not encouraging it yet. Have lots of fun with her Gretchen. She really is a beautiful baby.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Oh Gretchen she is absolutely beautiful. You're going to have so much fun with her on your visit.

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

Gretchen, enjoy this sweet baby!!

What great pictures all. Scoot, yours is particularly dramatic! I think it is that bright yellow which always makes me smile.

Oh Gretchen, that baby is simply the prettiest little one I have seen in ages. What a doll. Are you going nuts buying little girl clothes? I always wanted a girl so I could play baby doll dress up. Imagine having a grand girl, you get to play and play and then hand her back to Mom and Dad for all the work. LOL

edited to prove I can spell at times
