They are a beautiful plant. Thanks for your comment and good luck with your seeds.

It was blooming when we bought it several years ago, so we don't know how long it takes. It has bloomed well every year since. Sorry.

Wow! Is that the true color?
That is very close when it first opens. It becomes a little more blue in a couple of days. It's easy to notice from a distance.

THAT IS AWESOME, I HAVE SOME PRETTY HIBISCUS BLOOMING INDOORS NOW BUT THEY ARE NOTHING COMPARED TO THAT BLUE. ANOTHER SOMETHING FOR ME TO LOOK FOR THIS YEAR.
I hope you can get one. It's a great plant.
I have this beauty, too - it blooms from May to frost for me - terrific color!
Very vibrant color. Mine starts in March until frost, if any. It does slow a bit during the cooler near frost days.

oh ! that is a blue beauty to behold .
Excellent Picture Trois!!! I am trying to grow a deep blue like that one! Does it need to be pruned hard? I live in Australia where it is native to so it should ( hopefully ) do well!!! Thankyou for your help!!! pokerboy.
We have never pruned it at all. We also keep it never let it dry out in hot weather, since for most of the year it is wet by rainfall, we try to keep constant conditions.
We feed it a bit in the spring and mostly just enjoy it after that.
Good luck and post some pictures.
Thanks,
trois
