CLOSED: no-name hostas for postage

Kentwood, LA(Zone 8b)

A DG member has offered some hostas to members here. If interested please email me. Right now they are in 3 gal pots and in bad need of seperation.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I would love these - How much do you think it would take? I would love them what do you think about - I will send the stamps over if you know how much and have a box to ship them in. Please email me for the details. Thanks Mitch

You may already know this busybee, but if you wash the soil from the hostas and wrap the roots in moist newspaper inside a plastic bag, you can mail them in the new "flat-fee" $7.25 USPS boxes which can pack several hostas (considerable amount I would say). The price is fixed no matter the weight up to 70 lbs.

Even better - I already know the rate. Can I take whatever will fit in the 7.25 box?

Paradise, TX(Zone 8a)

I would be interessted in having some of them just let me know what you want me to send to you..! Is 7.25 what you need?

I would also be interested. I have sworn to myself that I will do something with my whole 20 square feet of shade this year. LOL

Actually, the price is now $7.70.

I have a couple of Sieboldiana "Elegans" to part with this year. They've been going steady for me for about 5 years, but it's time to take them out of the terra cotta pots they're in and get them into some good garden soil, get rid of the pots, buy some new pots and varieties. I just ordered 25 boxes FREE from the U. S. Postal service (www.usps.com) so will be ready to ship when they start emerging in another month or so. If you want one (or both) let me know.

This is the larger one from last May. The other one is quite a bit smaller, but will definitely grow into a 30-36" (possibly even a 4 to 5 foot wide clump! -- it's one of the largest) beauty if put into the ground.

Busy Bee, How about I send you eight dollars for what will fit in the box? Sound fair? That way it will be sure to cover it. Let me know - Mitch

Please let me get back with the ones that have already spoken for them. I will mark it as closed for now. Thanks.

I will email each one of you to let you know what is left.
