Does anyone grow verbascum around here? I have seen some blooming beautifully in the nurseries right now but I have to admit, I've never seen it before. Do you grow it and how well does it take our heat?

I planted some last year, and they did beautifully. I am hoping they reseeded and will grow again this year.

Did how long do they bloom? Don't want to get something from the garden center that is blooming now but peters out when we get some heat.
I tried starting from seed last year, nope, the seeds are very tiny. This year I got 6 plants to the silver dollar size and have planted them in the front bed. I think they will not bloom until next year. OH Well, I love a challenge. Saw some at the Antique Rose Emp. this weekend , they sure make big plants. I will be watching to see if anyone has experience growing them. Margie
