Awesome picture! What kind of camera do you have?

Thank you both.....it is nice with the water droplets from the greenhouse mister isn't it?! Purely "happenstance" I assure you. This was taken with a CoolPix 5400 loaner I am testing, since my old faithful CoolPix 995 was drowned on a recent trip to Baja. :(

I'm struggling to learn to use this camera before making a decision to purchase it, will also be testing a D70 I hope. Not all the shots are successful and I'm probably still trashing more than I keep.

Here's the Eye of The Helleborus

That's right you did tell us and I forgot....lol. Well I think you are doing a fantastic job. Does this camera do macro? I always hear about macros and I'm not sure what that means.

I think a macro is the first essential for anyone wanting to photograph plants or insects. (Donna, macro simply means an extreme closeup.) Not many cameras will allow you to get within an inch of your subject and still focus on it. My Olympus 5060 does that, although I prefered my older 5050 which had a better lens.

Good luck with your camera shopping H!

Thanks for the explanation. I thought that's what it meant. I need to buy a new one some day to.
