clearance calas

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

Okay I went to lowes and bought about 4 plants off the clearance rack. One thing I couldnt pass up was a pot loaded with cala lilys for 1.00, now my question is should I seperate some of these, the leaves are all floppy but still green and healthy looking. Can I get them to rebloom so I know what color they are.
Im at a loss here.

As far as I know from the ones I have planted you won't get them to rebloom this year... But planting them together makes a nice look they are best planted in mass as they call it. Plant them, water don't flood and let them recover..If later in the year you would like to seperate them go ahead but for now they just need to get strong again.

They won't rebloom this year. You can plant them in the ground when it warms up a bit. They prefer warmer soil temps than what you probably have right now. They are also intolerant of salty conditions and prefer slightly acidic soils (pH of 6.0-6.5 is perfect, but anywhere around there is fine). They are somewhat finicky about watering. They can't handle being dried out for long, so keep them watered regularly. They need a winter cold period to rebloom, so perhaps by next spring, you'll get to see them again.

I got some calla seeds in a trade. I haven't planted them yet but plan to later today. Will they bloom this year?

Not to likely on blooms from seeds the first year, If you had started them months ago in the house or GH maybe now not to likely
