I'm new, from Newport, New Hampshire

Newport, NH(Zone 4b)

This is great! I'm quite new, and I've already had a great bit of advice from Baa in the United Kingdom -- wonderful! What a marvelous reach this site has! My main interests these days (ever expanding) are starting seeds successfully in the greenhouse (as early as possible-sigh); finding hardy perennials and self-sowing annuals for cold climates; and garden design -- I have to do some "drifts" this spring and I'm a little intimidated about how to lay them out! So glad I joined. Best, Mary.

Welcome Mary! I'm waving from the Bluegrass....we've got one of your former residents living here and we ain't gonna give him back.

Big Red is formerly from NH, but now resides in KY...he's one of my best veggie pals and a great fellow.

You'll be cruising around the Garden like an old resident in no time...if you have any questions...just shout. We're friendly...a little nuts...but friendly!

Thanks melody! So great to hear from you! We were recently in Louisville for the annual FFA convention (my husband teaches Forestry/Natural Resources at the High School's Tech Center), and really enjoyed it -- it was my first time in the state! Thanks again for your nice message! - Mary

So great to hear from everybody ~ really appreciate it! We have *so* much snow I can't believe I'm ever going to see the ground again, let alone start digging in it! I'm really enjoying the site, thanks again.

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

Glad to have you join our garden neighborhood here.

This is a great site. Enjoy looking around.
Grab a cup of coffee, too. You may find this place is addictive. :)

Hi mmb, Welcome to DG. The best is yet to come :) I live about 40 miles west of Louisville, happened into the city one day and saw that Louisville had a lot of extra people :) The FFA convention was going on. The city tries real hard to take good care of all of you, it is a highlight for them and they really look forward to the arrival of FFA each year. :)

I'm originally from MA and I was up there a few weeks ago for a visit and am going back for a few days (actually heading to Maine for our organic seed potatoes). Our families all still live in Berkshire County, MA.

There are so many people here willing to help out if you have any questions, you'll know your way around in no time.

Take care, Kathy
