I'm a freelance writer working on a story about urban vegetable gardens for Associated Press. It assumes readers have never tried to grow veggies in cities -- anybody out there have any advice?

Vicki, by urban gardens do you mean those gardens grown on roof tops in the inner city and/or small home gardens of folks that live in big city suburbs, etc.?
A few months ago Growing Edge magazine had a write up on
roof top gardens.
