Don't worry... it looks like you have the picture at the right species! It looks exactly like Crinum asiaticum var. procerum, which is this species. The flowers and leaves in the photograph say it all - the reddish-purple leaves and flowers in the photograph distinguish that it is Crinum asiaticum var. procerum.

I saw this at Historic Bok Sanctuary, too. What a striking and large plant! I love the reddish-purple leaves and pinkish flowers together.

I know I'm an idiot but I have to ask. I've only READ the wird "Crinum" and never heard it pronounced. Is it pronounced crYnum or crInum?
