The dobie's back, but Les and Frankay, what do I do?

Ok, she's eating what I leave out behind the store that is about 1/8 mile from my house. I left her next food bowl about 20 feet closer to my house, and a food trail. I sat back in the woods between my house and the store and watched her inhale the food. As soon as she was done, I called to her and she was off like a rocket. Dissappeared like a ghost. What do I do? Call dobie rescue? She is obviously extremely shy and/or very afraid. It will take weeks to get her to my house at this rate (and then what, she runs when she sees me or anyone) and though she is smart for having avoided the traffic at this point, I still do not want to risk her (I say her because she seems small) getting hit by a car.......HELP.
