The Clivias are starting to bloom...

Spring Valley, CA(Zone 10a)

It's that time of year. Last year I counted 21 spikes. I haven't checked real well and some spikes are still trying to emerge, but I've counted 18. There are some species ones in this patch too and they already bloomed late fall/early winter.

Here's the orange ones. I have a couple of the variegated in the back to but I think they are too young to bloom

Oh, my goodness!! Those are beautiful!!
I have orange and yellow that I got last year and I can't wait to see a bloom. I guess it will be a little while, though, in my zone, I have been keeping them in a pot.
How long did it take yours to get SO big??
The variegated one is next on my list.
Thanks for sharing your pics!!

Wowie!!! A yellow. Don't forget to save seeds. I have a orange one I bought last year here and I have some baby cliva's growing and some new seeds but no yellow.

Double wowie, those are going to be pretty. I think I'm suffering from a case of zone envy after seeing your pictures! Nat
