Warning about your pet's ID tag

Indianapolis, IN

I'm very upset with my vet. My blind poodle escaped from the backyard. Someone had left the gate open. I looked frantically and was sick when I couldn't find him. I called my vet who told me that no one had called about my dog. I got a call several hours later that someone had called about the dog before I contacted them the first time. Two different people were working and didn't bother to tell each other about the first call. When I asked who it was, they told me that she hadn't left her contact information. I asked if she was going to contact me herself and they told me that they didn't have my information available for her because the ID tag was an old number. I am very upset seeing as how I got the tag 8 months ago. When I got home from work tonight, someone had put my dog in my backyard. I guess that someone in the neighborhood told the finder where my dog lives.

I guess I learned a hard lesson about putting my own ID tag on my dogs.
