I am starting to get a thrill in my heart

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I was looking at pictures tonight, and I came across this seedling. It starts very pink and turns an orange red. It was so intense. I only had 1 flush last year. I need to figure out which brug this is in the hoophouse and kiss it. I can't wait to see how I do with this one this year.

It had very big flowers, the openings were almost too big, they could look a bit floppy.

kell...you got me all excited when I saw your new thread...I thought 'kell has flowers'...not just a half a dozen like me...but branches of blooms! Then I read 'last year'...you fooled me, but I know your blooms will be coming soon...It's a beauty! Good luck with finding it and with its blooms this year!

I do not know why I am having such anxiety about the darker colors I had last year. My big fear is they all bloom Frosty!! I wish I could remember if we were having a heatwave when htey were so dark. I had another drop dead gorgeous brug that was a true pink, and that one I really, really want to be the same this year. It was huge!! And a different shape than any I have seen.

If I had that many beautiful brugs, I'd never leave the garden. They are so pretty and girlie, I love the recurve...

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LInda, I did send out lots of the same crosses that made these, so whoever got them, can get ones similar or even better than these.

This is another new one from last year as it opened. It turned real pink!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Absolutely gorgeous PINKS! Good luck on your Brug hunt!

Olathe, KS(Zone 6a)

Man I sure love that orange! I'm dieing to find a red or close to red Brug and or a purple. I must get something other than just the pinks, whites, golds and similar variations of each. Surely these colors exist somewhere out there. If we could only get the Dutch involved wit brugs like they are with tulips!LOL We'd have every color under the sun before you knew it I bet.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

They are all gorgeous Kell !!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Kell, you have the most gorgeous ones I've ever seen!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Kell - it's true - you have beautiful brugs! I always enjoy seeing your pictures!

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

They are just great! Makes me feel guilty for not expanding on the Brugs. This past year had me too busy and stressed to add anything. Now things should be easier and I'll get the garden back in shape. With all the rain we've had in San Diego County the weeds are almost as big as Brugs! It happened almost overnight! Some of my plants have done very well, but the rain drowned my Pink Bower Vine that was climbing over the arch. Sniff, sob. Word to whoever did the rain dance ..... stop dancing, please! Maybe I'll get another one and put it in a raised container. (Once I do that we'll probably have another seven year drought.)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Those are gorgeous! Really nice color!

kell, when do you have time to eat, sleep, or talk to that great hubby of yours, with the brugs i have in the house they take up an awfull lot of my time I can imagine how much time you spend with yours, and always one is more lovely than the last.

Mc Call Creek, MS

kell, I'd have a song in my heart, too, if I had a brug as pretty as that first one....the orangey one. As my kids used to say, "WAAAANT IT!"
