I have finally talked my vet into letting me write a newsletter for his clinic. Initially, it'll just be one page, both sides, B&W, mailed quarterly. Hopefully as his practice grows, the newsletter will too. I have some ideas for regular features, and of course there's no shortage of article topics for a veterinary newsletter. I could, however, use more input and ideas to keep future issues fresh and interesting. Here are some things I have in mind. Please feel free to add to the list, bearing in mind that this newsletter should be focused on veterinary issues and promoting his clinic (very rural, both small and large animal, servicing a widespread area).
1) Clinic news - new equipment, new services, new facilities, area pet owners' seminars, changes in clinic hours, etc.
2) In memoriam - a photo of a patient who has passed on
3) Precious Patients - a photo and brief bio of a current patient
4) Ask Dr. Paul - a Q & A feature of common pet health questions
5) Animal trivia - interesting, little known facts about various animal species
6) Discount coupon for some service/procedure
7) Article spotlighting a specific illness
Let me know if you can think of anything else, either general or specific, you'd like to see included in a newsletter you might receive from your own vets.
Thanks!
Laurie
