Question about Scotts 15-15-15 Cal Mag
Janet, do you have hard or soft water? It has calcium added it and should not be used with hard water.
The amount of fertilizer depends on the size and age of the plant. Young plants need less fertilizer than large plants.
I knew I had not given enough facts....they are older plants from Rootdr about 3 ft tall and I live in the country so I have well water and I do not think that it is hard..hope this helps...Janet
I feed my large plants 30g every third day with a similar fertilizer. Young and small plants 10g every third day.
Thank you Monika for getting back with me on this.....one more ? is that deluted with water or just sprinkled on the top? Janet
janetlee50, directions should be on your package, and, if not, there is usually a www site for the company that makes it, where you can usually find the directions and other information regarding the product...
Janet I mixed 1 tbl to a gal. of water last year and had good results.
I would'nt sprinkle it on top.
Mine are started out with 1/2 strength and gradually increased.
Edited to say this info is for 15-5-15 Cal/Mag which I use.

Thanks to you all....nope no directions on the package, tho I didn't think to go the the website...thought maybe the brugs needed som TLC that was specific to the, Janet
One question, janetlee50 - I incorrectly read your thread title as 15-5-15 cal mag, which is what I finally located. I've seen Triple 15 fertilizer - is it cal mag also??
Janet, this type of fertilizer should be diluted in water and never sprinkled on top of the soil. A tblspoon full of the salt is a strong concentration and it may burn the roots.
Sherry
Yes, it is cal mag also and many thanks for the help from all Janet
