you are right there Donna , and about the same size flower,
what do you think of this delphinium it is supposed to be Galahad it is at work of course . but is doing the second flowering the same

Bootandall I thought the same thing as Donna. Before opening I was sure it was a delph. That delph photo is gorgeous. You stated it was at work. Do you by any chance work at Dowdeswell's? I have no idea what the distance is between Blenheim & Wanganui. I have bought seed from them before & they were very good....Linda

I work at a nursery in Blenheim , there is a large home garden there as well , full of stock plants.
we grew a lot of Pacific Giants delphs from seed for sale .. Galahad is suposed to be pure white. but this one turned out to be black.

It is in it's second flowering now .
I have asked the owner to controll herself LOL with the deadheading and tiding up. hopfully she will ,so we can try them out this next season .
