I have found these cactus and just basically want to know if you could tell me bout them. I found them in a field. To describe them, well, they are flat and round type. I have seen these everywhere, very common, however these are smaller, only less than half the size of the ones we are use to seeing. I planted some around a rock lined flower bed and they are really pretty when they bloom. They have the yellow flowers that almost look fake. I just basically threw them in the ground and they are looking good. Anyway, when I showed them to a neighbor, and please don't laugh, he said that they were "cow turds" any help is appreciated! :) Are these worthy of trading???..... I have tons.

Cactus Plants
Cacti are ALWAYS worth saving, maybe just not ALL the pieces of them! These sound like regular 'bunny ears' AKA in latin as Opuntia. There are many, many different shapes and spine density to be found within this genus.
If you could give a bit more detail at the Succulent Post Place, such as spination, thick, thin, nonexsistant, colored, shape of pad:round, oblong, beaver tail, I'm sure you would get some good answers.
You don't even give an idea where in the U.S. you live. Opuntia grow just about everywhere, even in the river bottoms along the Mississippi. You could probably give a Zone without one of us lunatic Gardeners hunting you down and ravaging your garden. I have a couple of my own 'cow turd' plants. If your's turn out to be ones I can't find here in the West, maybe we could trade. The pads start just as easy as you have found, no matter WHAT they're called.
Thanks for the light humor,
Cena
