Did anyone ever get side effects from the sweetener mannitol? I used some new sugar free syrup today on pancakes as did my husband & son. We were in the bathroom all day!! I looked up mannitol and low and behold it has a laxative quality. It's any wonder it is low carb it doesn't stay in the body long enough!! LOL
