She led me astray for a day
And look what danced my heart away!
"Powderpuff"
PS
Donna, it's a good thing we live so far apart!
You and I would get into serious trouble with our shopping!
SoCal . . . . you bad girl!
HeHeHe, boy did we have fun today!!! I took her to one of my favorite nurseries today and now she knows why. :-) I came home with a few pretty goodies too, but nothing like this plant of hers. Wait till she comes back again, I'll take her to another good nursery that I know of. hehehehehe
This beautiful hibiscus is as pretty in person as this picture is. I had never seen a hibiscus with this type of shape...awesome indeed.
Arlene, are you still as full as I am? Great lunch we had too.
Donna
So you two met? Cool! In CA?
That's beautiful! If I hadn't seen the leaves, I'd have thought it to possibly be an *orchid*!!!
Recently had the gardener removed some very old bonsai'd shrubs and we were planning the new layout.
First plant choice was "Powder Puff". We agreed that whatever else goes in this bed should not overwhelm this baby. So it may take awhile to find just the right ground cover , plants that will complement it!
Sounds like you both had fun. Powderpuff is drooly! I wonder if I can find one when I go down to Florida.

Peren,
The plant was supplied to this garden center by West Covina Wholesale Nursery-a city in Southern California.

They might be able to tell you other places to find it.
Thanks, TLChef.

If I could learn to root these I could do one for you. But so far all my attempts at rooting have been useless. Think my heart is not in it. I travel too much to be there to baby them.
If I just chopped a piece off and mailed to you wrapped in a moist towlette; could you root it?
Check your email.

Wow Arlene what a beautiful Hibiscus
Thank you, Donna
I found it in a nursery that SoCal took me to. $20 for a good sized bush. The cuttings will be coming your way tomorrow. Hope they make it ok.
what a great buy !
I love that Hib.
