Does anyone know if you can grow this indoors or in a greenhouse? If so, where might one find one or get seeds? Does anyone have experience with propagation? Finally, do you know of the where abouts of one of these in any US Botanical Gardens or other locations.
Thanks
nancy
Cannonball tree (Couroupita guianensis)
Hi, cool plant!
Try Trade Winds Fruit , http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/order.htm
I've never ordered, but they have tons of cool seeds that are reasonable.

The Botanical Gardens in Onomea, N. of Hilo has one of these...H U G E!!! Are you sure it will fit in your greenhouse?
No, I'm not sure it would fit in very many greenhouses. It is such an extraordinary tree, maybe it could respond to some bonsai techniques. Optimism occasionally triumphs over reality. And reality is often over rated.
Otherwise none of us would continue to garden against all odds.

Very true, ns.
The Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead, Fl has more than one, very big. They are certainly unique.
