Well, I asked for advice on sprouting seeds and while I thought I was only planting 3 seeds as the picture shows I got a weak 4th plant. I can only think with not knowing it was going into the "pot" I planted it to shallow. But 3 for 3 isn't to bad. Thank You to all of you that had responded to my request for info in another thread.
You guys and gals truly do know what you're talking about. (not that I doubted it) But you all get a Very High Mark for the information you give to fellow members. This place is really great and an incredible value for the cost of membership. And I'd also like to point out that the Watchdog saved me from placing a $100.00+ order with a company that turned out to rate a 98% negative rating.....Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! Now, have I made up for the cost of membership or what?
Bless You All

3 for 3 and a Heartfelt THANK YOU!
Great looking little seedlings, Rich. I hope you marked them as to the cross.
Richard, I've had little premmies like yours do just fine. You might take something small and pointed, I use wooden sticks used to grill meat/etc and just sorta nudge around it and move it a little further away from the other seedling, or give it it's own cup. You can also wait a little and see if it gets stronger before you move it. I have broken the necks of several seedlings that turned out just fine...good luck!!
Are those Daturas?
Looks like brug seeds layin in the cup ?
Rich, brugs need moisture, air & light to germinate.
As Monika says just press the seeds into the top of the soil. Cover the container w/ plastic wrap to retain moisture and W A I T
Kerrie20, yes they are Datura. In my post where I was asking about sprouting Datura and Brugmansia seeds I asked if they were similiar and how to do it. After getting the replies I tried what was suggested and here's the results.
I've recieved an offer for Brug seeds and can't wait to get them here. To grow the Brugs will finally get me into the addiction that you all speak of so fondly.
This picture is of my way of recycling my yogurt cups, lids and all. I just punched holes in the bottoms and I don't have to throw away all the cups, which I always felt was a huge waste. Once the seeds sprout I remove the lid and use it as a saucer instead (if I need saucers).
There's a mixture of things in the flat. I'm going to try my hand at Bonsaing Mimosa into a ceramic tray that a close dear friend of mine gave me. Some more of both Datura (White and Dbl. Purple/White) and others. But it will be the Brug seeds that I'll really feel good about.
But again, thanks for the information on getting me to this point.
Richard
They look great Richard!!

Best of luck with your seedlings! Hope they produce some beautiful flowers for you!!
How clever! Those look just great. I wish I ate yogurt!
Kell, at the rate I eat yogurt I should be able to sent you a case of empties in about a week LOL. But, they do work really well as a mini greenhouse/pot/saucer, and you control each plant on IT'S time. They seem to be loving it.
What a clever idea!! We don't have yogurt with clear tops...
Sherry...I like them too. Think I will use saran wrap for the top...heck...clear is clear!
