Cal-Mag?

Commerce, GA(Zone 8a)

I would like to get info from someone who has used this product. It says "water soluable" on the bag. Does this mean that you can use it in a end of hose feeder like MG, or should you apply to plants dry & then water? Thanks, Melba

I think what you posted is correct and I think nurseries use water soluble fert for drip systems too, which would sorta be the same as your hose, I think...

Melba it is mixed with water. I mix mine in a barrel but I'm sure it can be used in a hose feeder.

It sure can be used in a hose end sprayer. It dissolved much better for me than any other kind did, as well.

Thank you all so much. Glad to hear that I can use hose. Got too many plants to have to carry buckets! Lol! I hope this stuff works, it sure cost enough! Melba

Melbe, I used it in my hose end sprayer last year. Like you, I would still be watering if I'd used a bucket.

Ada, do you use a soaker hose?? If not, what method do you use?? I don't use soaker hoses because I have many perennials that don't like as much water as the brugs. I'm planning to install a system with a water tube to each brug, with a timer, big ideas, I hope it's a reality this year, I have all the stuff...

No, Sherry. I don't use a soaker hose. It may be easier to to keep the Brugs in the ground watered but the past two years, I've had to worry more with too much water from the heavy rains. Maybe if I had a dry season, I'd consider using them if I could afford to buy all the soaker hoses I'd need. LOL

I just use epsom salts and gypsum for magnesium, sulfur and calcium. Both are very inexpensive. Here we have clay soil so I often dump out a huge bag of gypsum in my yard. It does all sorts of good things to your soil.

Roses love Epsom salts. Last year I put half a cup under each one and they really took off in the spring. I added it to my alfalfa pellets also and I got such frequent reblooming I was thrilled. Anyway, adding it to the soil saves me from doing more spraying!

Oh, so you keep yours in pots, Ada??

I use Epsom salts too but never know exactly when to apply it. I think I'll do a search. Is there a place where startup procedure is listed for zones??? I'm off to google...

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Sherry, some were in pots and some were in the ground. Probably about half and half.

Ooooops, I misread what you posted Ada...
