Does anyone have a Canadian source for these? Thanks, Joelle

What on earth are they? I couldn't tell much from the picture (the DG stuff was on top of it)

Chilko, these are the long white, sometimes coloured tags with a slit in one end to insert the long end into..most shrubs are id'd like this....they are oh so easy to slip over branches.......E

Ohhh, now I see. Sort of like hospital ID bracelets! So if I ask--where?---for keyhole tags, that is what I'll get? I could do with a few.

Thank you. I saw a thread about using metal tape, so I bought some and am going to try this first. Joelle

Joelle, I was looking through my Stokes catalogue this afternoon and noticed that they have some copper tags (the kind you write on w/ a ball-point pen, to permanently "engrave" them), that have ties attached so you can tie them onto a branch. Might be a useable alternative - ? They're $5 for 25 tags.

I tried posting a link to the actual page, but that doesn't seem to work on the Stokes site. Here's the link to their home page - click on Canadian Customer, and on the next page is a keyword search - type in "copper". This is probably the fastest.

Eventually the copper oxidizes and the tags turn greenish, like the parliament bldgs :-)

Actually, those stokes copper labels are made of fairly thin copper, with the holes too near the end. I had some that used to tear and fly off in heavy duty winds. You can buy heavier copper sheeting at Michaels or that other craft store I can't remember the name --- Then you can cut them the size you want.

Inanda who uses round tops of frozen orange cans with a paint pen from Michaels - or special order from Staples.

Good to know, Ginny. Thanks!
