I have been growing a cutting of Miner's Claim sent to me by a friend. It grew beautifully in the pot...then when I planted it outside when it was about a foot tall, it just quit growing. I do have it planted in the sun and being variegated it may not want so much light! Whaddyathink?
It has been in the ground now for about 2 months...hasn't put on any new growth...just sits there pouting. I have fertilized it, sprayed it, sang to it (aha, that's a clue), bribed it, threatened it...zip.
Thanks in advance....

Advice needed on a Brug (duh)
You may be giving it TOO much love - why not let mother nature take over. It sounds as if it hasn't formed a really good root system, whereby it can take up all the 'goodies' you have been giving it. Once it's root system gets well established, it should do well.
try watering only when it gets dry.
Will do! Thanks guys... I will ignore it as I walk by, turn my head and not even flinch when she calls me!!

Carol, last year I had a brug, a seedling, that behaved like the one you describe. I received the same advice you received and nothing worked. So, I dug it up, washed all the soil off, trimmed the roots, and removed some tacky leaves, soaked it in SuperThrive, put clean, new soil back in, as well as fertilizer and watered it regularly, and it bloomed several times before the first freeze...I left some others just sitting, doing nothing but this year I'm not willing to just let them sit and I'm going to do something, even if it's wrong, lol, cannot possibly be any worse that sitting and looking at a plant with failure to thrive...
SL - well the coin toss is today. Film at 10:00.
I think will dig it up (tiny little thing) and do as you suggest...let it cruise in the GH for a while longer 'fore I put it out.
