Lurking no more - Ijamsville, MD

Ijamsville, MD(Zone 6b)

Hi All,

This year is going to be my first "real" garden. A big THANK YOU to the posters at Dave's Garden for answering my questions - even without me asking! I am a recent transplant to MD originally born and raised Floridian. I am looking forward to my herbs, tomatoes and edible flowers!

Hi Cindy, Oh, yes. Snow on the ground, maybe more this weekend. This is only our second real snow this season. I will have to go buy some seeds to make me think Spring!

Welcome Kim!

You're not to far from me! I'm in the Ellicott City area!! Wonderful to see so many Marylanders joining DG!!

BTW, we're having our 2nd Mid-Atlantic R.U. at the end of June. Sure hope you can join us! We would love to meet you!! Here's a link to read all about it! http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/482109/

Hi Shirley,

I was just reading about that today. It is about 78 miles from my house up to Bear Creek. Sounds doable to me. I will talk with the DH, it may just be me, he might not see the excitement in meeting a ton of strangers:)

That would be awesome, Kim! We would love to have you join us!!

Yah, my DH feels the same way that your DH does (Dravencat's too)....they don't know what they're missing!!

I can't remember what my mileage was last year to the R.U. I'm further South and you're further East, but don't let that stop us!! It is worth every mile you drive!!

Do keep track of this R.U. thread, 'cause more people will be posting as it gets closer!!

Hope to see you there!

Thanks for the warm welcome(s)! If I even get one vegetable or one flower it is thanks to the helpful people at Dave's Garden!

Once spring/summer really hits you should take a trip down to Annapolis. Lots of boats, places to eat crabs, and lots of old colonial gardens and houses. Really quaint and pretty.

Welcome to Dave's. Hope you love it as much as I do!
