Have seeds for anyone interested...
hi Julie
looks like your doing very well with your Brugs
i find Adora in all of the Brug data bases http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/3042/index.html
but there doesn't seem to be anything in any of them for "Pale Pink" ?
is this a name you or somebody is using for an unknown pink Brug ?
& i assume the "Pale Pink" is the mother ? & Adora is the pollen father ?
Dick
Ooooh, I'd love to try some!! Are you in the address exchange?
--Chrissy, a new brug addict...is there a support group for this?!
Hi Julie ~ I would like to try these, please. Thanks! Jackie

Chrissy ~ You are not kidding!!
Jackie
Steve,
I got a cutting of unk. pale pink from someone here at Dave's but the label didn't have the name of the person to whom it came from. I wish I knew too. Anyhow, I crossed the 'unk pale pink' (mother) to the stigma of 'Adora' (father) and got a pod much to my surprise lol. I was elated that it was a success when I took some of it's seeds and they germinated and are doing wonderful so I knew they were viable :) Maybe someone can help us both out on the 'unk. pale pink' Brug. It wasn't an unknown though.
I have the following people who would like to try growing them out.
Crissy
Jackie (Hellobebe)
dusky
Trunnels (Terry)
Digs
YTRN
I'll email my address for you to send the padded s.a.s.e. to me

Hi Julie! Am I in time for this offer? Adora is beautiful!!
Thanks!
Yvonne
lol Charlotteda!
The is no hope after this next step into the addiction. All you will need now...is more room to accomodate your addiction LOL!!!!
I have emailed everyone on the list above, there 2 more envelopes to be claimed.
pale pink is a description of the color but is not a name .
julie,
The plant that the pod is hanging on is the mother aka Pod Parent
The daddy is called the Pollen Donor.
..........................
From what I understand the pod is on Adora ?
If so you could label the seeds Adora x unknown pale pink
The pod Parent is always mentioned first in the x
Now you are a true ADDICT ..... lol

you have mail Brugaddict
Please Julie - begging. Hope I made the cut. Would love to try to grow these out.
Rhonda
any left???
yes is there by chance??
The pod is on the 'unk. pale pink' which is the parent mother aka pod parent lol...and it was pollinated with the donor plant aka Father hence, unk. pp x Adora. I wish I could say who I received the cutting from...the ink. pale pink that is, but all I had was the tag stating the name of the cutting. Maybe someone will come forward and say who it originated from.
It was my first time to try this process and it was alot of anticipation for me and excitement when I saw a pod on it lol...then you could imagine how excited I was to seeing that it was viable. It was fun and I hope that all that want these seeds will have fun just growing them and getting something really pretty for their yards.
I have now 8 names and found where I could add Imzadi (Marie) also, because I had an extra pack.

Here is a pic of the 'unk. pale pink' bush from last summer 2004, Adora is beside her. The daddy (pollen donor) lol

Thank you Julie.
I promise to try my very best.
I'm glad to see there was enough for the rest.
I'm a poet and didn't know it.
Warning: Anticipation of brugs can make you slightly silly... LOL
Jackie
This is the Mother plant 'unk. pale pink' with the pod on it.... which housed (lol) the pod to which the pollen donor 'Adora' Father, was applied.
I wish I had more to share, but the other pods didn't get fully developed as you can see in the pic.
Thanks for all of your responses and just have fun!
Julie

Julie I gave you the Pale Pink. It is not a name its a description. It was an no name brug that is a heavy bloomer and pale pink.
LOL yeah, I know very well how that is Jackie and you are very welcome!
Oh that's wonderful Delisa, I'm glad you can verify that, thanks! I figured it was a description of an unk. brug. Just an experiment for me to see if I could get it just a little darker with the 'Adora'....all in fun!
Thanks Delisa
Beautiful brugs Julie, and so healthy!!! I was out on March 1 and just found this thread. Congrats on your seeds, wow, way to go!!!!!
Julie -- you are such a sweetie! I hope everyone gets something very pretty from the seeds!
I have the same Pale Pink from Delisa. I love her, and I have several seedlings that I started from one of her pods, Daddy unknown. She's quite a hussy! Was absolutely loaded with blooms and later pods. She was the first cutting I took, because I knew she'd possibly be the toughest to replace since she's un-named. The only one I have with the exception of seedlings.
Sherry Thanks! They both did real well last year for me, either of these two were not a problem where mites and aphids were concerned. I had fun just watching and anticipating the whole thing! I wish I had more to share, but I'm sure next year they'll be plenty more. I saved 'Adora' pollen for the coming year hehehe.... unk. pale pink is so delicate and pretty and I love her just the same. Unk's are special to me and more of a surprise when they bloom IMHO. :)
Thank you too Gretchen dear. You're a sweetie too! I totally agree with you, she is quite the hussy !!!! I'm giggling at that can you tell? lololol
You all have a great night, gotta hit the sack! Spending the day tomorrow with my little moma and hopefully my little sister Candy :)
Blessings
Julie
Have a fun weekend, Julie!!!!
You too my friend Sherry!
I need to find my yellow & purple dbl & tpl. datura's....I don't think I can tell the seeds apart. *sigh* I Want to get some started. Anyone have a clue???? lol!
