inca princess

San Jose, CA

yay, my inca princess buds held on and are now opening. it is a yellow sanguinea. this is the first time i've seen it bloom since i got it last year from a local nursery (payless). i put some inca queen pollen on it but not sure what could come out of that. wish i had some arborea or vulcanicola pollen!

Payless is a shoe store in Arky, and a well known chain...they sell brugs too??

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Payless Cashway is a place like Home Depot up here. Can't say I've every looked at them for nursery items though.

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

I think this yellow is prettier than the red one..

What a Princess you have in your garden.
Thanks for sharing and good luck!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

earthling, I thought the same thing but hesitated to say it, and I generally prefer red to yellow...

Your photos of both incas are really beautiful...I like the tubular form on both.
I hope you have success with your pollination. That will be great to watch!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Beautiful photos and blooms. Too hot here for me to grow but I can admire yours.

I LOVE YELLOW FLOWERS, Your brug is really beautiful, I'm jealous of you mmqc, maybe someday I will have some blooms, I'm going to have to check out all my brugs to see what color they are, I am definitely going to have to find a yellow sanguinea.

We use to have a Payless Cashway in Wichita, but after Lowes came in and HD they didn't make it and closed.

it's payless nursery in san jose on king rd. i know, i was confused at first too. they do have some different things than the home depots and OSHs but finding specialty items there can be a hit or miss since it may sell out. it's the only place i know of locally that sold plumerias as well.

i forgot to mention the inca princess has rather fuzzy leaves unlike my sanguinea seedlings. inca queen has soft furry leaves too.

Needville, TX(Zone 9a)

Beautiful!

Your Inca Princess is beautiful. The color is so vivid. Does anyone know if this Brug. can be rooted as easily as most brugs?
