Putting up Greenhouse Plastic...Help

Gold Hill, OR

I am finally at the stage of putting on the double layer of plastic on hoop shaped 14 x 24 greenhouse.
Each of the two ends are polycarbonate so I don't have to worry about them. Also, it has the sides that roll up for ventilation. Anyway, if anyone has any tips on putting on the plastic I would truly appreciate it. The instructions show attaching ropes to one side of the plastic and dragging it over. I guess I would have to punch holes in the plastic to do this...I just don't know if this is the best way. Also, do I put up each layer individually or should I fold the plastic onto itself before installation?
Again, any tips would be very much appreciated. Here's a link to a picture of my particular model
Thanks!!!!!

no no no ,, just take a corner and wad it up and tie the rope to it

gponder. The best way is to take something like a tennis ball, wrap the edge of the plastic around it, then tie your rope around the plastic/tennis ball. Several balls would be helpful, one on each end, one in the middle. Then throw your loose end of the rope over the g-house, then just pull the plastic over.

I prefer to do one layer at a time. Once the first layer is on and tacked down, to the same for the second layer. The second layer easily slides over the first one.

When tacking down the first layer, leave a couple inches loose beyond the "tack down" (not sure if you are using staples, wiggle-wire, or what), then when the second layer is to be attached you can easily fold it into the first layer, creating the air pocket.

"Sides that roll up for ventilation"....? You mean curtains? If so, those will be a separate part from your plastic.

Please holler back should you need more help.

We folded our plastic. It was easy to get over. Course I have a 6'8" tall son that helped. If you have the fan to put air between the two layers, seems to me it would be better to fold. I have it, but we haven't installed it. I have the same greenhouse. Love those roll up sides. I've used that all winter here cause we've had some mighty warm days and it lets out the heat quick.
