Hey, I finally got my Sago Palm. On sale for $6.94 at Extra Foods in Trail. They had quite a few and all very healthy looking. I have to repot the little guy right away though, 'cause his roots are beginning to grow through the drain spouts already. But I have a perfect spot all picked out for him as soon as I can put him outside.

at the gift show this year one of the exhibitors had dried mature sago leaves as decor items. i and 3 milllion other visitors tried to buy them. they are fantastic and he says that may next year they will have some for sale. too bad we couldn't take pictures in there. by mature i mean the leaves were about 8 or 9 feet tall, 8 inches wide and about an inch thick. they were twisted and just amazing.
Such a deal Donna. I noticed they were on sale a couple of weeks ago at Superstore for 2-3 dollars cheaper than what I paid for mine but that's still more than what you paid.
I wonder how long the leaves take to get that big. I definitely don't have room for that.
They are *extremely* slow growing Sandy.......I doubt we will have to worry about that for a loooooooooong time.
Maybe in my next lifetime. LOL
