Is there a trick to growing this? I tried it when I was living in AL and it never bloomed for me. Of course, the fact that it was in part shade might have had something to do with it. :)

I have some cannas, spider lily bulbs (Lycoris radiata), glads (Black Jack, I believe) and daffs (not tropical OR exotic). :)

I would love some crocosmia, I have the following seeds:

Small Sugar Pumpkins
Large Pumpkins
Basil
Sweet Corn
Parsley
Winter Acorn Squash
Cabbage
Lettuce (mixed)
native persimmon
Red Poppies
Marigolds
Tall Sunflower
Cosmos (White or Purple)
red plum
native plum

I will have lavendar and rosemary plants in a few weeks.

Smilin- ours seem to be happy to have neglect tossed their way, LOL. They don't look super heathly but they bloomed last year in full sun and nearly pure sand soil.
Mum was holdin` out on me! I didnt even know we had these until a few days ago. LOL

Seems like I read somewhere they can tolorate partial shade and like good soil. Not sure though.

mortez, yours are stunning and give me hope.
Do they like to be fertilized?

hickory, NC(Zone 7a)

Hmm- if you still have a bunch after the Florala Swap (in April)- I'll see what I can get together to trade. I do have a yellow forsythia I need to trim this year- ifin` ya want some cuttings off it for some of your crocs.
Gotta wait til after the swap though- my heads all screwy lately. :-)

Renton, WA(Zone 8a)

No problem Moretz. I have 7 plants started. I'm not sure how long I should let them grow. I've never mailed a plant before, so you may need to give me some pointers if you can. Save me some crocs. :)

What variety are the ones you have? I have several and they all grow like weeds here! In the sun and partial shade! I have a gold one and the red one, and traded for the "emily" on last fall. If they come up and do well you are welcomed to some of them. Just let me know later to check on them for you.

Hey,

Let's hold off on any trades- I'm getting all mixed up lately- forgot to send some stuff off for another DGer- Need ta stop while I'm not too much under, LOL.

If you have some left after the swap I'd be happy ta trade ya forsythia or whatever I have that you want. If not- that's okay, we can wait til you need to divide them again.

Thanks alot!

How many colors are there?

hickory, NC(Zone 7a)

one color tricolor

Dayton, TX(Zone 9a)

I have lots of the orange ones. They are just coming up and I am pulling them right and left! Would love some yellow or any other color. I'll take about anything but seeds. Would love some different cannas. I have the common orange and a yellow varigated. I'm easy. I'll go out and rescue the ones I pulled up today. They like the sun and to be left alone. Give them support because they are so heavy with blooms, they fall over and you can't see them. Soooo, whoever wants some let me know because it is spring break and it is a good time for me to mail. ruthm

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

If you still have some left, I would like to have a few. I have lots of plants, bulbs........if you have something in mind, let me know and I'll see if I have it. I do have a banana tree that has a baby; Aztec Lily, Sea Daffodil, daylilies, iris, hosta, ferns, lilies, and a lot more perennials. If you decide to trade, let me know. Thanks!
