I so adore dianthus! If there's enough, I'd love to have a mixed pack. :)
Donna
oooh, me too please!
There are so many species & varieties of dianthus.... I know this is a mix, but do you have any idea what's in it in terms of whether the seed should be winter sown, direct sown after frost, etc?
Thanks!
I have never winter sown any dianthus. They are very easy to germinate..and usually will within a couple days.
Can I direct sow them after last frost? I'm asking because my planned starts have already taken up the space under the lights....
ME TOO!!
SASE went out today, Kim.

I'm in!!! I already have an envelope ready for you for other seeds and will add this to the list to be tucked in, if okay with you.
me,me,me, lol
Just wanted to make sure you had me on the list.... I'll put up more lights if I have to! :-)
I'll send my SASBE soon; waiting to see if I can add one or two other things like you said..... so exciting to wonder what you'll pull from that box next!
Thanks!!
Just butting in here... can't remember what kind they are. If it's Clinic Pinks, they are hardy perennials and can be winter sown, started under lights, or thrown out the back door... very tough and very hardy. I've got some they sowed themselves in my gravel driveway. If it is deltoides, they're a little fussier, but perennials. If they're tiny during the heat of summer, give them some protection.
As for Sweet Williams, they are biennials and probably won't bloom and set seed until next year anyway. Put those in a bed where they can self-seed. They'll bloom the second year, spread seed, then croak. The new plants will bloom the second year. Eventually, they should establish themselves if you don't go digging around too early in the spring... just butting back out... good work, Kim!
Please, me too Miss Kim. I will send my SASBE out on Monday if thats alright, in case there is something else to add. Thank you very much!
I got some Texas Red Star Hibiscus I bought, would you like some in exchange for the seeds your sharing?
