Close-up of flowers.I have numerous plants, but when this one blooms, no one seems to see any of the others.

O-M-G I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this photo close-up! The vivid color of the flowers is fantastic. (scrambling for seed catalogs to find this one).

Thanks so much, Joseph. If you don't find it, I do have saved "flowers" which probably contain seeds. I will be happy to send some to you. Be advised that I do not know anything about propagation of the plant, but have saved and dried flowers from past 2 summers because they actually hold their color when dried (for years!). Email me if you need/want the seeds.

I have a cottage garden with over 100 roses + lilies, iris, etc. This plant is near the end of a path that passes many of the above. When this plant is in bloom visitors rush to it (overlooking everingthing else) and its name.

Best wishes finding one. I think they are fairly common at garden centers.

Sheryl, that is absolutely gorgeous. I can see why visitors rush to it as it must make quite the display. I have ordered two S. leucantha plants this year. I know they aren't for my zone, but I live in serious zone denial. Going to give it a try as an annual, one in a very large pot & the other in the hottest area of my gardens. Thanks for sharing your photo......Linda

Thank you, Linda, for the wonderful compliment. Zone Denial? Good one. I suffer from it a bit myself. For me, it's peonies, poppies, lilac, spruce, and the golden chain tree all of which sulk here due to the heat, but I keep trying, so I know where you are coming from. At any rate, my S. leucantha grew from 10" starter to 3' x 3' shrub in a single summer, so growing it as an annual may just work. Best of luck. Sheryl

From your lips to God's ears, Sheryl! LOL
