That is a very beautiful cactus. I am looking for hardy cactus to plant outside but I may buy that one for my indoor garden.

Thanks! This one is a very good choice for indoor garden. Just make sure ot give it plenty of sun. It probably can go outside during summer.

Thanks! I had a larger one (5" across) that has a very nice ring of flowers, but I forgot to protect it from the constant rain and it rotted. It really hurts.

I think I just bought one of these or one very much like it. Walmart had some really nice cacti at a very low price. They don't have names on them but one I bought looks like this and has little purple flowers around it.

Wonderful photo!

Pyrola5, good for you. Isn't it pretty? Most retail stores like Wal-marts, Lowe's, and Home Depots are starting to sell cacti around this time of year. Wait a month or two and there will be more choices.
Weezingreens, thank you!

I look in every store and nurseries for C&S!!!! It's so addicting to say the least, lol, Annie

It is addicting, and I can never have enough. I have over 200 plants already, and taking care of them is a chore, but yet I want more. I don't even know the names to most of my cacti. I'm trying to limit myself now to getting just the ones that are unusual or those that have beautiful blooms. That is why I'm waiting for spring when stores carry more choices and many of them are in bloom.

LOL, I have over 200 now also!!!! It is quite a chore, ok now this one no water, this one a little, this one a lot, I'm keeping the markers in so i don't mess up!!! Annie

That is a great idea. I usually group mine according to water need, but recently I mix most of them up. It is a chore, but it is also a labor of love, don't you think? It's to a point now where I know their needs. Most of mine are starting to produce buds now. How's yours?

Yes trent, a lot of mine are right now, very exciting for sure, I check over them everyday, and can't stop taking pictures, lol, Annie
