Poor thing! Last Sunday morning we noticed Midget limping, looked like he hurt his left back foot. All day he growled at "nothing", wouldn't eat and hid in the closet. Monday morning he seemed so much better. Putting a little weight on the foot, jumping on the couch & eating just fine. His foot/leg wasn't swollen & there wasn't any obvious injury (such as a torn claw). We decided to wait on the vet trip & see if it was just a bruise or sprain.
All week he seemed to get better, then THIS Sunday, he jumped off a chair & was instantly crying & limping badly again! So, this morning he went to the doctor. Our vet looked him over really good, and found his hip was "popping." He feels it is either dislocated or the head of the femur has sheared off!!! (Let's remember...Midg stays indoors!!) I had to leave him at the office to be sedated and x-rayed :(...I feel SO guilty! I should have taken him in last week! BAD Mommy! I was so sure he was getting better.
