I just found these photos from July 5th, last night when I was looking for a special one for Monika's birthday. I could not remember taking them. I think I never posted them. They made me long for summer.
Summertime and the livin’ is easy
Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is fine
Oh your daddy’s rich and your ma is good lookin’
So hush little baby, don’t you cry
One of these mornings
You’re goin’ to rise up singing
Then you’ll spread your wings
And you’ll take the sky
But till that morning
There’s a nothin’ can harm you
With daddy and mammy standin’ by
Summertime and the livin’ is easy
Kell, your photos always look so perfect. Love the background and the color combination of this one. Which brug is this?
I not only LOVE your Brug's but I love your singing too, nice voice :)
In my garden, those brugs would not be iffy...they are lovely!!
Oh WOW, I do love that 'Big Yella'. I think I missed out on a cutting offer last summer. If you cut on it, I would love to be on the list.
I remember 'Stubby' too. If only I had acres, I could . . . . . .
Lovely pics. You know which color combinations go together.
Pink/yellow/purple. Beautiful
LInda, weren't you thinking of renting some property to grow more? Please do, we can be nuts together! LOL You maybe on my Big Yella list. Some people wanted him from a contest last year so I need to look back on my Dave's email and send him out when we get dry here. Please no more requests until I get caught up!
gently tapping foot.
Same here,.we have an acre, ready to go...........
Tap, tap. PLMK what you need?
Kell, I gave renting some land a thought, but in as much as this is just a hobby and I get no income (only outgo) from them, I think I've decided that I was having a weak moment. At this point in my life, I'm trying to simplify, make things a little easier. Yeah, I know - good luck!! I'll probably give some of my named ones to friends and relatives and concentrate on the seedlings and see what comes from them.
Kell, your pictures are stunning as usual, and the song is a perfect match:-)
Kell,
I LOVE that song! I have the cut that Ella and Louis did together on a Moon Garden CD I have. The song just fits perfect on there! What is the name of the brug in the first picture here, the bright yellow one? Really nice! I've never seen a brug yet, this will be my first year hopefully!
Laters,
J
Kell,
Your photos are always stunning!
I'm with SherryLike, if only my seedlings will turn out half as nice.... :)
To Monika happy birthday. All great people were born in February... Bob
Kell...I love all your "wild color" combinations! BTW...wild is a compliment in your case. I used to be a pastel and a white flower lover, only!! Now I also love the bright ones and the mixture of colors that complement each other!
Also, wanted you to know...I knew something was missing here at DG, but I didn't know what, until I heard your song. It is your singing!!! Please keep it up, I love it!!!
And please have an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. We need you here at DG !!!
" You Light Up My Life"....(another good song!)
Margie
I like that song too. Reminds me of The South. Your brug is really pretty.
What beauties,Kell!!
What a cheerful sight your photos are. I love the yellow Brug with the Bouganvilla. Such a great color combination.
Hey, Kell....you are really sompin' with your photos! AND your seedlings. Don't forget I have 12 acres to plant!!!! What better than brugs!!
Just came back from the mainland and found everything well nurtured by DH. RK is thriving, Kell....thank you so much!!!
Carol
