What Do I do with the Eremurus bulbs I just purchased? Everything I read states they should be planted in the fall, yet these were sold as summer blooming bulbs with ranunculus, Dahlias etc. Is there any way they will bloom this year? Help!

G. Here's some interesting info from the dutch bulb people about how they grow Eremurus (or Foxtail Lily)...

Don't know about the spring/fall bulb planting question--seems like eremurus are like liatris--if you plant l. bulbs in the fall they very likely will succumb to squirrels or rot; if you plant l. bulbs in the spring, however, they won't get big enough to bloom the first year (and won't have the cold period) so you have to try to keep them over to the next summer...
Sounds like it will be a very interesting and striking addition to your garden!
