My backyard

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

My husband put down stones to walk on. And it is still pouring. I just brought out the garbage and am soaked. My husband just emailed me he is on his way home. So I jumped up and straightened the kitchen and brought out the gabage. Heaven forbid he finds out I got out of bed this morning and at 9am and soon started IMing with a good friend. We just finished a little while ago at 3:30. And we solved no world problems! LOL.

And look at me, I am back on! Hopeless. I really do need a real life.

LOL Kell, I'm sorry but I couldn't help myself but laugh!!!! Then I said to myself, wow that sounds just like me! Except for the IM'ing part lolol! Roflmbo!

Think on the bright side of things....the rain will have the ground all good and ready for your beautiful Pink brugs and then some. God is so good isn't He? I think some of that rain will finally make it's way down this way and we need it....bad!

Cheer up! All is well ....

Has it quit raining yet Kell .... hope everything will be okay!!

Kell, It is so strange seeing your pictures and that is how it should be looking here! We are the one's with Web feet and know how to get around in the rain. LOL

We get our share in winter Kin! Though we have had only 1 really bad storm early on. Only 1 frost too this winter. I saw a petunia flower the other day. So I can't complain.

I was just outside again. I found this flower. It is MM. I am dying to see if it gets dark here. Of course this won't be a true test seeing that it is winter. But still exciting. It bloomed when I was away but I didn't know it had another one on it. It has been cast outside because it had spider mites. Poor thing is so wet now.

Looks like it will be a nice one....look how long the tendrils are, looks good to me, mites or no mites!

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Kell, or should I say Mrs. Noah... LOL

I have a special affinity for the mite-infested, down on their luck plants...
I bet she will open up just beautifully, like Brugie's did.

AWWW kell, sorry your getting soaked, but isn't it nice that MM decided to cheer you up.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Kell, at least the rain should wash off some of the mites. Good looking bud. DonnaS

Jackie, you are probably right. Even if it doesn't open right, it isn't anything but the weather. Good weather and it will look just fine.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

I keep humming this song, "the sun will come out tomorrow...."! Hoping it does!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL. Well Shirley, I see it peeking out, though the weather report says rain! It is 8:45 am. I have to go buy a new washing machine this morning. My husband totally took ours apart yesterday to fix. Last I saw it, he was lugging it outside in pieces to toss. LOL. He couldn't get it back together. Then if the weather holds, I am going to do some serious work out there!

Kell, get a front loader!! It will change your life...

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh, what is the difference, Sherry? Won't I have to bend over more?

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Oh. My. doG. Kell, it's all the difference in the world. Mind you I did not buy one on purpose, but I needed it and the dryer in a particular size that only the front loader fit and it happened to be on sale, with free installation but I was skeptical and reluctantly bought it. I feared overflowing, I guess. About the bending, mine are stacked, so I don't have to bend to the dryer. Here is what I've learned about the front loader, the clothes are significantly cleaner, with less soap, in fact I only use maybe a couple of tablespoons, and they use considerably less water and, if that isn't enough, they wring the clothes out so completely that drying time is cut WAY down. I've been so happy with mine that I've replaced another washer with one and the lady that cleans for me replaced her washer with one and my son's wife got the Neptune pair, which look like science fiction. Mine are the cheapest ones out and I LOVE them and I use them a couple of times daily and after 2 1/2 years, I've not had a single problem...

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Well, I will look at them. I am going to get a cheap one today though because we are redoing our house in a few months. So I do not even know where the washer will be going then or what color I will need. So the one I get today will be tossed then. But I will look at them seriously then! Thanks

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

You can likely get a front loader as cheap as any, depending, of course, where you shop. I've always bought white, but, man, they have some beautiful colors these days...
