Ok, everyone wants lotus until I have a couple of tubers to trade :)
I would like to trade for waterlilies (I've listed a few hardies on my trade page) or tropical lilies that I dont have - must be named. or other lotus tubers...
second choice: louisiana iris or japanese iris.. I have Black Gamecock already.
thanks
charlotte

I do want to trade right away because this is only my second year with lotus and I dont feel that I know enough to "hold" the tubers for long. As for, if the tubers are blooming size - I assume so as they are tubers but I when I purchased my last spring I was not to expect a bloom the first year- even though they did bloom.
Do you have named Japanese iris? If so, would you trade 2 for a lotus? thanks charlotte
The photo is a sample and may not the be actual one I would send.
charlotteda, i have ensata picotee wonder and ensata innocence i could trade if you are interested. they are planted along the side of my pond and the ground is frozen right now. let me know. belinda
I would love to have them Belinda. I will send you the tuber on Tuesday. When is the correct time to send the iris?
I assume your address is in the exchange, mine is also.
thanks
charlotte
charlotte, my address is in the exchange. it's 20 outside right now. i checked on them before i posted, they are brown. as soon as i see them and it has warmed up, i will dig. i should be about 2-3 weeks if that is okay with you. belinda
Thats fine.. these will be my first jap iris I think. I assume they will NOT bloom this year right? I plan to make a little bog with a left over piece of EPDM and put the iris there. I'm sending you 2 tubers one is short and fat - the other is long and skinny- more like a runner. This way you will have double the chance of success.
I'm mail Tues morning. Keep an eye out so the package wont freeze outside. :)
thanks
charlotte
thanks charlotte, they bloomed last summer. as i said before they are brown and have not came up yet. i do daylilies, daffodils, and several other plants coming up. i checked the weather and it's going to be in the 40's next week so spring is right around the corner, at least here in ohio. belinda
No rush, Belinda. I'm looking forward to them. Tuber in the mail tomorrow, you can send them when you feel they will travel well.
