new cat - have questions

I adopted a new cat for my daughter for valentine's day and this kitty is already a dearly loved member of our family. This morning I found two poo poo puddles (apparently she has an upset tummy and did not make it to the litterbox). Is this a reaction from the worm medication or the shots or is it a nerve thing? Is it an adjustment system or should I worry?
