I'm so sneaky and underhanded

I have been having problems with the 3 degus. Each had to have its own cage. Rachel will kill Marion(the runt female)and Charlie is a good male with one thing on his mind with females. Other than that he and Marion, who I am sure will never breed and is NOT interested in his overatures, could live in the same cage. Yesterday an idea came to my devious mind and today I did it. I put some smelly oil based muscle rub(not a stingy kind)on her bottom and put her in with him. At first he ran over and sniffed then went to the far side of the cage and stayed there. Later they were sleeping in a heap and he has no interest in her sexually. I don't want Charlie and Rachel together because I don't want more baby degus.I guess as long as I keep Marion's bottom treated all will be well and I can get rid of one of the cages on the table. I'm so bad.
