Brug patch

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

It's hard to believe that just a few short months ago my yard was filled with the scent of Brugs.

Take heart, snowhermit. Just remember, in a few short months from now, you'll have a yard filled with the scent of Brugs again. Lovely photo. :D

No bears today? Did you make it to the GH yet Terry? These folks in the south are making me so excited! You too I bet. Take care, Joelle

I was wondering the same thing :)

me too ?

The taller ones in the background are all first year seedlings. I started them in Dec under lights and this picture was taken in Aug.
There are a couple of cuttings in the front and my Butterfly tree.
It's hard to keep them over the winter as I have no basement.
We dig up and pot the ones we want to keep and this year they are on my sunporch and 3 of the tallest ones are are in the LR where the ceiling is higher.
I had them strewn all over the house last winter and DH decided he was tired of bumping into them in the night so gave up the sunporch this winter. :)
This is my other garden closest to the house that I can see when I'm on the computer.

All I can say is wow!

yep, they are beautiful , I see you have them staked, I would have to do the same thing, wind is pretty rough sometimes, and blows them right over.

Terry, do you every grow any that you just let bush out instead of making trees out of them? I'm going to do a lot of that this year. I took most of my cuttings from the flowering region in hopes I can keep them shorter.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Terry...how far apart do you have them planted? I like how you have alot of brugs in a fairly small area....maybe I could do that! They look lovely!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Yes Shirley I had some bush types down in the lower garden and I'll be growing some more this year.
Picturelady the seedlings are 3 ft apart and the larger ones are anywhere from 4-6 ft apart.

Which ones do you grow that are the "bush" varieties? All of your Brugs are so beautiful!
