I found this site while searching for seed catalogs and I'm very excited. I'm new to Georgia and new to gardening, just starting to dig up some of my new endless lawn and reading lots of gardening books. I put in some bulbs in the fall - thats about the extend of my prior gardening experience too. I'm looking forward to learning lots.

Hello and welcome to Dave's Garden.
Glad to have you join our garden neighborhood here. Definately lots to learn. This is a great site. Enjoy looking around. Grab a cup of coffee, too. You may find this place is addictive. :)
Welcome! Sounds like you stumbled onto Dave's like I did. It is very addicting. More than just gardening . . . . friendships.
I am also new to Georgia, new to Dave's and new to gardening! I hope your spring is going well - I'm in northeast Georgia and it's beautiful right now! Seeing all the nieghbors yards blooming is what first motivated me and I've fallen in love with gardening.
Mary,
Howdy neighbor!! I'm about an hour away from ya!
Where did you move from? If you have never lived in the south before... summer is gonna be a big surprise-LOL!!
I actually moved from Florida so the winter has been a BIG shock! I think that the move to an area that's a little less consistently hot is part of what got me interested in gardening. I love the vegetation I see growing here in Georgia. Florida was beautiful in it's own way but I wasn't as interested in the tropical plants. I love how I drive down the street and there's wisteria and azaleas EVERYWHERE! For the first time in my life I'm taking the long routes home just so I can see all the beautiful gardens in my neighborhood.
Wow, 2 new Georgia members in one thread! Welcome Christina Cat and MaryLennox.
I'm about 15 miles north of the N. GA mountains into the NC mountains by Lake Chatuge.
hello welcome.. enjoy..
