I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane....

Northern California, CA

GOTTA get out of the rain!

Kell and I are drowning in the same gray wet pea soup.......surely there must be some Brugs blooming by now in Mexico.

I also "remember when and whenn and wheen" so pretty Kell........Dr. Seuss has never been without at least one bloom this winter, albeit bedraggled and windblown. My Inca Princess is trying to hang on to her latest flush of buds and Double White is still just bleached out white leaves, pretty in kind of a surrealistic way.

This is what I'm in search of as I fly to warmer climes, September Dr. Seuss.

Your gardens and flowers are lovely. I know what you mean about the weather...getting tired of the grey and I don't think it's going away too soon. Have a good trip!

Your Dr. Seuss is absolutely gorgeous! Did you ever try to count the number of blooms on that plant? Every nice Frosty Pink Brug. I nicknamed mine "Ol' Faithful"!

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Back home from two weeks in Baja.....didn't see a single Brug, but then again we spent most of the time on the water. My Inca Princess is blooming up a storm, Dr. Seuss is leafing out.....it's still wet and gray here, but WOW! did the weeds grow while we were gone! Nasty looking garden! Someone should get out there and do something about it, but I'm still suffering from the climate shock.....darn it's cold here! LOL Stashed my flip-flops this morning and traded them in for woolly socks and slippers!

Did see some pretty flowers and plants, some images are posted on the Photos Forum thread "Return from the Sea of Cortez".

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm glad you had such a good time. Hope you will post pictures of your Inca Princess. I'm heading to the Photos Forum to have a look. Welcome home.

Welcome back! And to agree with Clare and everyone else on the planet -- your images and your plants are outstanding!!!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Welcome back, Candy. Time to go to work on those weeds now.LOL Vacation is over.

Northern California, CA

Thanks for the welcome back......I'm thinking of having a weeding party some time soon. It really is a disaster out there.

Had my little 2+ year old grandson for the day......now he's the one I really missed and him with those chubby little cheeks running and yelling "Up, up, up!!" to his grandma when he saw me just about did me in. The weeds can wait, I'd rather play with trains and read stories anyway. :-)

I'm continuing to add new images to the thread over on the Photo Forum of the plant and animal life in Baja, so check over there for more pictures from our latest cruising adventure.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Candy, I don't blame you. I'd rather play with trains and read stories too especially with a little chubby cheeked grandson. I bet you did miss him. Grandbabies rules our hearts.

Brugie here's Inca Princess for ya!

She still doesn't have many leaves, most of them blow off in our winter winds, but she's giving it her best shot to load up with blooms.

Thank you Candy. She sure is pretty. I sure wish I could grow one of those here, but I'm sunk. I love the yellow. We need good yellow brugs badly. Your pictures are all great. Thanks again.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

That is a gorgeous plant, Candy, and you are a genius for getting it to bloom!

Northern California, CA

Oh Clare, I think not. It is really just "happenstance" that she blooms. Now if I could get poor "Scarlet" http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=1028526 to put out more than one bud at a time I'd be really pleased.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Wow, Scarlet is just gorgeous:-)

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Wow is right, drool all the way through this thread!
