Wanted ('Black' Zinnias)

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

After an email with a fellow DGer my Zinnia addiction started to rise again. I did a search and found some nearly black ones in the PF! Does anyone have,

Pincushion Flower, Mourning Bride, Mournful Widow, Sweet Scabious 'Crimson Splendor' (Scabiosa atropurpurea)
http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/62661/index.html

Or any of this dark color?

If interested please email me and we'll figure out a trade!
Even one seed would be more than we have!

Stockport, OH(Zone 6b)

I have scabiosa "Ace of spades" but it is scabiosa, not zinnia. If that's what you're looking for LMK

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

oooh, bt, somehow I failed to realize the 'Ace of Spades' scabiosa were that deep a color! mmmmmm! those will be even better than I thought in my front garden.... thanks again for sharing them with me in our trade!

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

Ohh they are not the same thing? Well I'm about as dumb as a brick, LOL.

I'd love some! What do you want in return?

Stockport, OH(Zone 6b)

Crimson,
Just SASBE would be fine,or just send a regular envelope, I have bubble wrap. My addy is in the exchange. I've already done so many trades I don't think there's anything else I need (or have room for!:)........Rita

Critter,
These are even prettier planted with something white to make them stand out!:)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I was thinking they'd do well with white alyssum sown around them.....

Stockport, OH(Zone 6b)

allyssum is a full sun plant, I really don't know for sure about scabiosa, I had mine in partial shade the last few years and they done well, you might want to check on that-I'm thinking the white lobelia would look good with them, or white scabiosa

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

OK, I'll check. I've only grown the perennial scabiosa before, and they do fine in full sun. Thanks!

Will get your mail out ASAP- thank you BT!!
