Goshen, OH(Zone 6a)

I am new at posting pic's, I thought I would experiment with this one. It is called Halo Peach this was my first brug and they did very well. Hope you all like it and I am proud that I figured out how to do this thanks to Paul on Computer talk forum.

I purchased it last year from Parks 2004 catalog ordered 3 and they are
beautiful, IHughes I haven't check the datebase to see if it's on there should I?
When I got them they were about 2" tall and by the end of summer there were at least 6' tall and I counted at lease 15 to 20 blooms at a time that's when I got addicted. This was my first experience with Brugs and it has been up hill ever since.

Great pic, Thinkdirt !!! Your computer mentor did a great job in helping you post this shot. I don't have halo P....never heard of it until your post. It is a lovely brug. The neatest part of your post mentions your new addiction. I had to chuckle when I read how this one brug captured your heart because that is exactly how my addiction started. In fact....I would guess that's how we all became addicted to this wonderful species.

Thanks all for your kind words.

Renee O, I don't know what I am going to do now the spare bedroom is full
believe it or not I still have a queen size water bed in this room, and I put a
4X8 sheet of ply wood on top of it and put brugs all over it, the dresser and another stand that's in there and both nightstands. Boy talk about an addication. I keep looking for more LOL.

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

Where are you going to put them when their 6 feet tall LOL,

kathy

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Beautiful Brug!

Goshen, OH(Zone 6a)

well i cut them down about a foot nd but them on the 4X8 sheet of ply wood on the waterbed lol

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

Well, You know, that probably makes them bush out more too doesn't it? Mine are all one big stem and tall, and bushy at the top, I'd like to try this this next winter, just cutting it off shorter, so it will be bushier the next spring, their easier to lug around too when thier shorter.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Kathy, your best bet would be to take a cutting from the blooming area if you want bushier.

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

What if I don't want this great big tree looking brug though, ? I kind of want it to be shorter. not such a big tree. know what I mean.

Kathy... Ada has the right advice. The best way for a shorter bush is to start a cutting from the flowering region... any where from above the initial "Y". Once the cutting begins growing .... don't remove any side growth....it will then have the ability to flower at a shorter level and be more bush-like.JMHO

OH I see, thanks for the advice
