I never knew they had blossoms! What a treat - & they take so long just to get a few leaves, never mind a flower! Is this blossom fully open? What are your tricks to make this plant thrive? I am down to all 3 of mine in dormancy again... it takes months to get a leaf! What is your secret?

I keep it out of sunlight, after losing all the leaves, & it IS growing, but very slowly. It has been showing signs of new leaves for months, but they grow about 1/4 inch every month or so. I have tried a few different things, but Inever end up with any growth. They are alive, but dormant. This is one of my favorite plants, so I will keep trying. A very stately looking flower!

This should be bragged about, as it is a real beauty... Don't be so modest!

Does anyone who grows these guys have problems with water rotting the leaves? All of my amazonicas seem to have this problem and I don't know what to do outside of keeping the soil dry, not misting, and keeping a fan very close to them. I've sprayed them with neem oil every so often. Any advice?
