Peeling Seeds Kell is right!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

I just finished peeling 150 seeds. Kell had mentioned on an earlier thread that it was easier to peel the seeds dry. I have had so much trouble peeling them after they had soaked that I had stopped peeling altogether. Well, she sure was right (of course). They are so easy to peel when dry, and you don't run the risk of damaging the seed from poking a nail through the coat.

Just thought it might be usesful information to others... Although......I know!!! its late in the season to be starting seeds LOL! They will be my Valentine babies, and all PINK, I hope :)

To those that have contributed to my habit -- THANK YOU!!!

I love peeling seeds, Gretchen. It relaxes me. Something to do when watching TV.

I sure hope you get some hot pinks!! I sure hope we all do! LOL

Thanks, Gretchen, that's good to know. When I planted my first seeds recently, I soaked them first and they kept slipping away. I'll peel dry next time.

I know what you mean about relaxing, Kell. I love to gather and sort ALL seeds. I never tried peeling slippery ones before and I'm glad to know I don't have to anymore. It's a lot harder to relax when they keep shooting out of your fingers!
