I did not know these came in blue! Thanks for sharing the picture with us. How rare are they?

These are the latest hybrids. That photo was taken in low light, its not quite that blue. They are a sort of grey/blue with a bit of burgundy. This other picture was taken with better light conditions and doesn't look as blue.

ARGGG! I knew when I saw it that it had to be unavailable!

It's Gorgeous! The US is way behind in Hellebore development. I got my first double this month and it's a baby. Hopefully it will make it to it's full glory like this one. Thanks for sharing it KMAC.

Hi doss!
I'm not trying to make business for him, but Barry Glick of Sunshine Farms has been doing some great work with hellebores. Still pricey, but with time they will get more available I think.

You will definitely start drooling over some of these!

They are fabulous Kevin! I know some of the purists don't like the doubles but I think they are fascinating.

Yes I wish good hellebores were more widely available here..

you may just be in luck, i was going to get seed from this nursey this year but as last year forgot until too late, still can get them up till December, but seed is always best sown fresh July to September. It goes into dormancy and not so likely to germinate, I have had good success with my own fresh sown seed. It needs to get the cold of autumn and germinates over winter in mild spells.

They do offer sown seed here, but at the mo not available elsewhere. Look at the link at the bottom of the page for seed prices, it does state to email for postage outside of the UK, they possibly will send seed.

This nursery is a major breeder, also tricyrtis.

I have a Blue Lady that is more a deep maroon with a slight blush of blue over the inside of the petal that look more like a light silver . How I wish these really were the nice blue the photo shows!
