and turn on the heat. My poor Brugs have been on my hot dry sunporch all winter close to the woodstove and need to get some fresh air and sun badly.
Problem is I have to dig the GH out first as the last storm buried it. LOL
Almost time to open the GH
That is an amazing photo! I take it the rectangle looking thing in the upper right hand corner is your GH!!!! Hope you get to see it by Spring. I feel for you and your Brugs. All we have had here so far this winter in my part of Oregon is a freezing rain storm. Only lasted a week-end. Take care and keep warm.
OMG Terry , Do be carefull.
Oh wow Terry. That is unbeleivable.. Please be careful
Yes that's the GH GardenGuyKin.
DH is going to try to snowblow a path out to it tomorrow and try to shovel some of the snow away from the sides so the roof snow has a place to fall when I turn the heat on.
It's very dark in there now with all that snow covering it and the Brugs will need lots of light.
I need to get out there as bad as the Brugs do. LOL
You poor thing, be careful and make sure he takes a lot of breaks...
that is quite a picture, we have had snow but not like that, be careful you don't overdue it.
Boy, that's a lot of snow. Amazing photo. When will it melt?
Hey, snowhermit, boy, can I relate. I think you got hit harder this winter than us. I agree with everybody, don't overexert!...I hope that a couple of days of warmer weather will help you guys take care of things. Jackie
Snow Yes that's a lot of snow. How do you heat your GH. Mine is heated electrically and i keep it going all winter at about 50 to 55 degrees. Electric power people love me. Hope you don't have a problem getting it going. Donna
Terry and I think it is work here taking care of the brugs in the winter time! You make it look easy for me.
Your picture of the snow looks so beautiful !!!
What a job you and DH have ahead of you! Do be careful...Your brugs can be replaced, but not you!
What a picture! I can't imagine having to take care of that much snow. When I was a kid, we had snows like that, but we don't seem to get them anymore in the midwest. I don't envy you getting the greenhouse ready, but can't wait to see pictures when it is running again. I'm sure my brugs would love to get out of the house into some real light for a change, but it isn't going to happen for some time yet. Be careful. You guys could get lost in that stuff. LOL!
Wow, Terry. Looks like you need to move south. The snow is pretty but I don't want any. LOL
It is a lot of snow! Do you really start your Greenhouse these days Terry? I wish I could but no chance to do it. Too much snow and too cold for it.
Now that's what I call a LOT OF SNOW! BBbbrrrr!!!!
Take care and don't hurt your back......thank goodness for snow blowers!!!
You have to admit ... it sure is pretty after a fresh snowfall. You two be careful and don't overdue it!
I'm afraid the GH is still covered with snow.
I awoke this morning to find my little mini Dachshund Jake that would have been 16 yrs old next month went to join his mother in heaven while I slept. We lost his mother 2 winters ago.
Neither DH or I felt like doing any work .
Monika I usually start the heat around the middle to end of February depending on the temperature. It is going to -10 tonight so probably won't start it till next week.
Donna I have a propane GH furnace but it is still very expensive to run when the temps are below zero.
The snow is not melting as it only got into the 20's today. The trees are still covered.
Wow Terry you certainly got dumped on! Lots of moisture there though.
How is little Emma doing? Growing like a weed I bet! Joelle
Edit = sorry Terry, we posted at the same time, so sorry about your lose.

I'm so sorry you lost Jake. Losing our pets is heartbreaking.
Terry, I'm sorry to hear about your puppy. Please be careful out in that snow.
Hugs, Donna
So sorry to hear about Jake, Terry. Just try to remember you gave him a long happy life
Terry, I'm so sorry to hear about Jake. It's so heartbreaking to lose a pet.
I'm so sorry to hear about Jake, it is so hard to lose them, they become part of the family.. My heart goes out to you for your lose.
Denise
Terry, I know that no words can take away your pain, but know that your love for him kept him going strong for almost 16 years... and he will be with you always.
Terry
I am so sorry for your loss. Last spring I had to put my cat down. He had cancer and we did everything for him until I said no more chemo. The year before we lost our 15 year old yellow lab, Molly. It was hearbreaking. You put up with the mess from animals, (Molly was not always able to make it outside in her last year of life) but once they are gone, you forget all that. I really miss my animals, since they are irreplaceable.
Mary
Thanks everyone for your kindness. Yesterday was a very hard day and Jake will be terribly missed. I watched as he was born almost 16 yrs ago and he has been a good friend through all those years.
I got a surprise this morning. I noticed that my Golden Lady is full of tiny buds. I don't know if they will stay on in the dry air of the sunporch but it was nice to see some new growth and hopefully I'll be able to get them into the GH soon.
I am very sorry that you have lost Jake, Terry. Our pets are like family members to us and it is heartbreaking, when we loose them.
Oh Terry..... I am so sorry to hear of Jake's passing and I hope you two doing OK? It is so very hard to loose a close friend. Especially one who gave you unconditional love for so many years. I hope your happiest memories of Jake help you to get through this sad time.
Wow, awsome pictures Terry! So sorry to hear about little Jake...it's heartbreaking when our fur babies have to leave us :(
Terry, I'm so sorry to hear about your Jake! Remember all the smiles and laughs that he brought into your life! They are so happy just to get a pat on the head and ask nothing in return! I'm sure Jake had a happy, loving life, living with you!
Bonnie
My heart goes out to you Terry. It is so very hard to lose a faithful companion....one who asks only for your love and a pat on the head. He'll always be in your memories and you can take comfort in all the wonderful years you gave him.
Jean
Thanks so much everyone. I feel fortunate to have had him an extra 2 yrs. He was diagnosed 2 yrs ago with a very bad heart and it was his love for us that kept him fighting to be with us as long as he could. His body finally gave up the battle and I know he is at peace now and running and playing again like a young pup with his mother.
What a nice picture you have of him in your mind. I now how sad it is to lose such a dear friend. Saddest are the ones left behind.
aTerry so sorry you lost you beloved Jake. I can sympathize as since in the last 40 years I have lost three loved small dogs, It is hard but we have our memories. Take Care, Donna
