Looking for Journaling Forum

Fredericton, NB(Zone 5a)

Help! I've spend most of the day looking for information on "cloning journal entries", which is mentioned in the FAQ on Journaling. Although I had a good time traveling to forums, I still have not found an answer, and , I knew you guys would help me out here. So - point me in the direction of the "Journaling" site ---please.
Thanks
Joanne

JoSnoop, have you checked out this link. It is quite long though, goes back to 2002. I haven't read through it all so don't know if it answers your question.

That is the same thread that you will get to from "need some help" at the top of your journal page. If you do a find from your edit in the tool bar or what ever you're set up for, type in clone and it will take you to that discussion.

Will do. Thanks for the help.

nightowl2, I found it, I got it - this is how it works. (this may be the long way around but it's working for me).
1) make an "entry" into one of your categories, (submit it).
2) go back to the category and choose "view" -from the list of choices to the right (ie, "add", "edit", "view", "move", "delete").
If you donot see a menu on the right, you're in the wrong screen.
3) at the bottom of this screen is a list of choices, one is "clone this item" .
Choose it, answer the questions & submit.
4)A new ID number will be assigned to each clone and the clone will appear in the same "category" as the original. Go back to "Your Journal"
& go to the original categoryand you will see the identical entries (as many as you cloned).
5) Again - choose from the right hand menu -"edit" to change the info (location etc) - & submit.
5) go back to the entry - and if you wish you can then choose "move" and move it to another category. (If you have pictures you want to attach to all the clones - choose "Add", and add the picture and THEN clone - that way the pic's get attached to all the clones). Hope this is not too confusing.
